Quick Verdict — Score: 84/100
A genuinely all-in-one marketing suite that packs email, automation, landing pages and webinars under one login, with strong deliverability and a real free plan. It is broad rather than best-in-class, and costs climb fast as your list grows.
Who Is This For
Ecommerce stores and small-to-medium businesses that want more than a newsletter tool — people who will actually use the automation workflows, sales funnels, landing pages, and webinars bundled in. Indie makers who prefer one consolidated bill over stitching together separate email, page-builder, and webinar apps.
Who Is This NOT For
Pure newsletter writers and creators monetizing an audience will get a more focused, creator-native experience from beehiiv or Kit. Budget-conscious solo builders should note pricing scales with contact count and the best automation/funnel features sit on higher tiers, so a lean sender may overpay for modules they never touch.
Pros
- +True all-in-one: email, marketing automation, SMS, landing pages, sales funnels and webinars in a single platform
- +Permanent free plan (500 contacts, 2,500 emails/month) plus a 14-day trial of premium features
- +Strong reported deliverability (99% across 160+ countries) and 24/7 support
- +AI content generators and send-time optimization built into the editor
- +150+ integrations to connect ecommerce and CRM stacks
—Cons
- -Pricing rises quickly as your contact list grows beyond the base 1,000
- -Best automation, funnels and cart recovery are gated to the Marketer tier and above
- -Tagging and list management can feel clunky compared to tag-native tools like Kit
- -Being broad means individual modules (webinars, website builder) trail dedicated specialists
- -Creator/monetization features require the pricier Creator plan

Bottom Line
GetResponse is one of the most complete marketing platforms available, folding email, automation, SMS, landing pages, funnels and webinars into a single subscription with a genuine free tier and reliable deliverability. That breadth is its strength and its weakness: any one module is competent rather than category-leading, and pricing scales with your contact count while the best features sit on higher plans. For ecommerce and SMB teams that will actually use the whole toolkit it is strong value; pure newsletter creators are better served by a more focused tool.
What Users Say
Genuine reviews from public platforms. Each linked to its source. How our reviews work →
GetResponse is very user-friendly, especially for email marketing and automation. The pricing can increase quickly as your contact list grows.
The automation templates have saved us the hassle of configuring our seasonal email campaigns. The security settings used to manage the list are difficult to navigate, though.
It's a basic service but for the most part it worked adequately. The customer service is terrible and if you trigger something in their system they WILL turn you off.
